Visible Dependence – Gateway To – Invisible Faith & Trust
“Visible Dependence – Gateway To – Invisible Faith &
Trust”

It is our fundamental desire to feel independent,
self-sufficient, comfortable, and most importantly powerful. Ego, Self Esteem
and Self Confidence, in different degrees, are the key drivers of such desire. “No
man (anyone..) is an island” is a famous
anecdote indicating the ever importance of interconnected relationships.
While depending on “other than self” may
sometimes or most times considered “below par”, I have seen some people
excel while collaborating with others. It always helped me to introspect on
this and strike a right balance. We don’t want to be a parasite on others,
always extracting benefits selfishly centred. Of course, this feeling could also
be a driver, in some situations, to prevent depending on others.
What is critical is “Visible
Dependence” – Dependence of a perceivable nature, heartfelt, by the source.
The provider feels elated being of great help to the receiver! Whether, in
material sense, it mattered or not, what is important is the feeling of the
source. Of course, here again comes in the opposite – the false perception induced
by the receiver, not heartfelt!! Let me reflect..
Reflections
We all would have been in many such
situations in our lives - depending – really depending on others. We may have
our reflections too. I too have been!!
Recently, at the life’s crossroad, was I
– faced with one of the major heart-touching moments or phases. That’s when, I
really felt the importance of Visible Dependence. Yes, I could have
handled it all alone, with the excellent support system, we are provided with.
Still, absolutely letting loose such temptations and really depending on my
family and friends for physical, material, and emotional support – saw a new life
blossom, saw a new relationship set in, saw a newer connection draw up!!
Let me be honest – it’s probably one of
the fewer times in my recent memory, when I literally let myself freely depend,
with no inhibitions. I realised joy in this newfound state. Some expressions below
may help summarizing the actions and feelings:
· Wilful Dependence – Even
if I was in reasonable helpless state, I still overcame my psychological temptation
of being independent and visibly offered myself to depend.
· Enjoy the Dependence – Enjoying
pleasure in each step of dependence – conversation, physical support, and
motivational upkeep – and more importantly, it was a painkiller of some sort.
· See the Joy in Others and Self – This
led to a meditational self – joyful self, when I felt so much of help and
concern was available to me in critical times. Mutual feel of “nice and blessed”!!
· New life – All
this led to a newer life ahead and yes, let me be frank, old habits die hard –
but at least more aware and conscious – consciously depend, Visibly Depend
– generates more trust and faith to build further!!
Thoughts?!
Sure, each one has another way in
your system -Happy to learn on your system too and how you feel it works!
More importantly - hearty best wishes to
happiness always!!
Look forward ::: Humbly
yours
