Ramayana - Bhakthi Rasam - Episode 3

Ramayana - Bhakthi Rasam

Ramayana is a soulful joy - full of values and ample scope for reflection.

"Shravanam - Mananam - Nidhidhyasanam" ==> the steps to practice as per vedantic principles, could easily be applied here. Once learnt / heard, there is lots of reflection of the same to be followed.

These sets of recordings focus the mananam part, having seen the episodes again and again, concentrating on specific aspects of our day to day life, that inspire me.

Episode 2 - the last recording - we reflected on the first 2 phases of Bhakthi that Bharatha travelled -
(1) Krodham - the instant anger on hearing the unjust and illegitimate action by his mother and on top of it, presenting the same to Bharatha, as if they were to his benefit, despite the whole of Ayodhya immersed in deep sorrow and anguish.
(2) Moham    - the deepening of the reality and Bharatha realising that the perception of others could attach him to the evil act of his mother; thus feel of guilt as he faces and transacts with many of his people

In this episode, we travel further with Bharatha, a noble soul and a great devotee of Shri Rama. The next phases blossom as Bharatha moves towards realizing Bhakthi:
(3) Vivekam - Actions arising out of earnest desire to recover the lost ground and get back the love and presence of his brother, Shrirama
(4) Vairagyam - Deeper actions persisting with the help of all the well wishers and people, who are like minded. The goal is unique and unified - to bless Ayodhya with Ramarajya and undo all the unjust happenings so far.

I am enjoying the travel of Bharatha and the support / his discussions with various gurus / as well as Shri Rama and thus realize how sacred it is for Bhakthi to dawn on. Let us keep reflecting on this and next episode, to follow, leads to the final realization Bhakthi as well as the reflections / learnings for our daily life.

Enjoy the EPISODE 3 and please write back to me, for feedback - I shall be blessed - Jai Shri Ram!!

Humbly yours
